March 10th at 3pm Oscar, the worlds most cuddly, gay cat was put to sleep. Oscar was using all of his strength to get through his intestine issues, unfortunately he caught a bug/cold aswell and was unable to fight it off. He was in pain and did not have any strength left in any part of him. As he was so weak he passed away incredibly quickly and felt no pain.
Oscar has left incredibly funny, fond memories and will be remembered with a smile and a giggle.
I hope that you who met Oscar will also have fond loving memories of the cuddliest most affectionate cat. I am honoured to have spent so many years with him and will never forget his quirky ways...
Waiting until visitors arrived before taking the smelliest poo known to man...
The fridge door being opened and anything could come out and he wouldnt move, as soon as chicken was removed from the fridge he would be there immediately.
The rocking chair which became his seat and noone else was allowed to sit in it
His need to try every piece of human food that you were eating, and somehow giving you this.. oh mum its not chicken look if he didnt like it
Humping of the furry cushion or someones arm!!
Always being sat in front of the door when I came home
His ability to steal every cushion/pillow in my bed so I ended up sleeping without one!
When you whistled he would come to you and if you kept whistling he would nibble your chin... :o)
His need to jump in the shower before me in the morning so that he could get a drink!
I know that there are more, but these are just some that made him unlike any other cat. He was an incredibly special, loving cat who fought long and hard and now deserves a peaceful and pain free rest.
Lots of love always Oscar, Osdorp, Osder de posse, Osh kosh b'gosh and so many other things you got called in your short but well lived life.
Better to have lived a good life that wasn't long enough than a long life that wasn't good enough.

Hey Oscardoodle
Hey Oscar, hope you are having fun in kitty-heaven and there's loads of chicken everywhere. I told one of my Irish friends about you yesterday and she thought you were very handsome!! It's lucky you weren't here to fart and spoil the image.
R.I.P.
Warm light coming from far below,
Twinkling, sparkling is the candle's glow.
All is well up on the ridge,
The place we know as Rainbow Bridge.
Furbabies sleeping in heaven's light,
Tended by candles in the night.
Peaceful dreams be theirs to keep,
As they slumber in this night so deep.
Hearts on earth that miss them so,
Take comfort in the candle's glow.
Watching for them in skies above,
Bound eternally by a cord of love.
Those animals we love remain with us
For love itself lives on,
And cherished memories never fade,
Because a loved animal has gone.
Those animals we love can never be
More than a thought apart,
Far as long as there is memories,
They'll live on in the heart.
The animals we love don't go away,
They walk beside us every day,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear.
Light a candle for those we mourn,
Into a new life they will be born.
Do not look for them at the gravesite,
They are somewhere else radiating their beautiful light.
They have gone into a new world
Where there is no darkness, no pain.
Their light and essence will always remain...
Light a candle for those who have left this mortal place,
They are free to travel through time and space.
When we think of them, they are near,
When we sit in a beautiful garden, their voices we hear.
When we listen to a divine symphony
We close our eyes, their faces we see...
Light a candle for they have not really gone.
With each flickering flame, in your hearts
They will always belong...

To Mummy xx
The time has come I think you know
the Lord is calling so I must go
I love you so much; I wish it wasn't so
I wish I could stay; I don't want to go
You're the best family a cat ever had
so kind and gentle, never mean or mad
I'll never forget the day that we met
I was so lucky to become your pet
You opened your door and showed me your heart
I'll never forget you; we'll never part
You loved me and cared for me over the years
you taught me everything and took away my fears
The Lord is calling now I must go
but before I go I want you to know
I know it hurts to lose a friend
but I'll be with you even at the end.
Beyond the Rainbow
As much as I loved the life we had and all the times we played,
I was so very tired and knew my time on earth would fade.
I saw a wondrous image then of a place that's trouble-free
Where all of us can meet again to spend eternity.
I saw the most beautiful Rainbow, and on the other side
Were meadows rich and beautiful -- lush and green and wide!
And running through the meadows as far as the eye could see
Were animals of every sort as healthy as could be!
My own tired, failing body was fresh and healed and new
And I wanted to go run with them, but I had something left to do.
I needed to reach out to you, to tell you I'm alright
That this place is truly wonderful, then a bright Glow pierced the night.
'Twas the Glow of many Candles shining bright and strong and bold
And I knew then that it held your love in its brilliant shades of gold.
For although we may not be together in the way we used to be,
We are still connected by a cord no eye can see.
So whenever you need to find me, we're never far apart
If you look beyond the Rainbow and listen with your heart.

For Oscar,xxx.
I will lend to you for a while
a kitten, God said.
For you to love while she lives,
and mourn when she's dead.
Maybe for twelve or fourteen years,
or maybe two or three
But will you, 'till I call her back,
take care of her for me?
She'll bring her charms to gladden you
and should her stay be brief,
you'll always have her memories
as solace for your grief.
I cannot promise she will stay,
since all from earth return.
But there are lessons taught below
I want this kitten to learn.
I've looked the whole world over
in search of teachers true,
And from the folk that crowds life's land
I have chosen you.
Now will you give her all your love,
nor think the labor vain?
Nor hate me when I come to take
my kitten home again?
And my heart replied,
"My Lord, Thy Will Be Done."
For all the joys this kitten brings,
the risk of grief I'll run.
I'll shelter her with tenderness,
I'll love her while I may
And for the happiness that I've known,
forever grateful stay.
But should you call her back
much sooner than I planned,
I'll brave the bitter grief that comes,
and try to understand.
If by my love I've managed
your wishes to achieve,
in memory of her sweet sweet love,
please help me while I grieve.
When my cherished kitten
departs this world of strife,
Please send yet another needing soul
for me to love all her life.

Letter From Heaven
Do not stand at my grave and weep;
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there, I did not die.
